Cosmopolitanism in the Archive

A new web exhibition featuring Fisher material has been launched to coincide with the Canadian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (CSECS) & Northeast American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (NEASECS) joint annual conference in Toronto.

Cosmopolitanism in the Archive is a collaborative effort between graduate students at the University of Toronto and McMaster University and scholars presenting at this joint conference. In a series of blog posts, the students interview the scholars and create a blog post accompanied by information on relevant archival holdings available to view at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library. These items range from manuscript commonplace books to first-edition jest books to enormous, elaborately illustrated volumes on the ancient city of Palmyra.

Thank you to the students and scholars who contributed to this project!
