This event will feature a display and discussion of archival and bibliographic collections documenting global protest and resistance movements.

The speakers will include: 

Mahdi Ganjavi (Personal Counter-Archives: The Amir Hassanpour Fonds and Shahrzad Mojab's Collection of the Student Movement) 

Blair Kuntz (Amir Hassanpour’s Bibliographic Legacy)

Chowra Makarem ('Kak Satar': a militant visual archive of Kurdish resistance)

The event will be introduced by David Fernández, Head, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections at the University of Toronto.

Accessibility

The Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library can be entered using an exterior stairwell at the north-west corner of St. George St. and Harbord St. The building can also be accessed via an escalator or elevator by entering through Robarts Library. More information can be found here
