This album of bookplates contains over one thousand specimens of Canadian individual and institutional bookplates, dating to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The provenance of the bookplates varies from former Canadian prime ministers, to local colleges and businesses. Some bookplates are featured with exceptional illustrations, designed by prominent artists such as J.E.H. MacDonald and Francis Adams. These bookplates are only a few selections from the Fisher Library’s diverse collection, which references regions from all over Canada and the United Kingdom.
